During my career I have carried out work for both public and private organisations including research work for the European Space Agency (ESA) as well as other international organisations.
I have been chair at international conferences and published over 20 research papers on various topics including: object-oriented systems, neural computing, knowledge representation, software re-engineering and building large scale web-based systems.
I have been invited to speak on various topics including robotics, artificial intelligence and connectionist architectures.
I hold a PhD (Neural Networks), MSc (Electronics) and BSc (Physics) and I have been an external PhD examiner.
Previous research has included:
- Object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Articial Neural Networks (ANN)
- Artifical Intelligence (AI)
- Knowledge-based Systems (KBS) (including semantic networks)
- Web-based Technologies
